Procurement Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform in-depth discovery sessions focused on procurement workflows, vendor management, sourcing, approvals, catalog strategy, and 3-way match requirements.

• Align customer procurement needs with Ramp’s capabilities, identifying gaps and developing scalable solutions.

• Evaluate ERP configurations and data structures, including Vendor Master, PO, Invoice, and Receipt, for compatibility with Ramp’s deployment strategies.

• Develop pre-sale implementation plans that outline phases, timelines, and dependencies.

• Conduct integration assessments, including API workflow validation, SFTP/data exchange requirements, and security/permissions modeling.

• Create workflow prototypes, configurations, and proof-of-concept models when necessary.

• Act as the procurement technical lead for enterprise opportunities.

• Participate in complex P2P evaluations as the primary procurement Subject Matter Expert (SME) or lead supply chain contact for procurement-focused deals.

• Assess customer challenges, conduct gap analyses, and translate procurement issues into quantifiable ROI and value propositions.

• Provide structured feedback to the Product team regarding gaps, customer requirements, and market trends.

• Contribute to shaping Ramp’s procurement roadmap and competitive positioning.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the procurement technology landscape.

• Document procurement requirements, decisions, and implementation guidance.

• Collaborate with Implementation and Technical Consulting teams for a smooth onboarding transition.

• Be available during onboarding for addressing complex escalations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Procurement, P2P, ERP, or similar technical implementation roles.

• Extensive knowledge of end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, procurement operations, vendor management, accounts payable, bill payment, and contract workflows.

• Practical experience in designing or implementing P2P solutions such as Coupa, Ariba, Zip, Ivalua, Workday, or NetSuite.

• Required experience with APIs.

• Familiarity with SFTP, integrations, data migration, SCIM/SAML, and ERP financial objects.

• Experience conducting enterprise evaluations with C-suite and VP-level stakeholders.

• Superior communication and storytelling abilities, with the skill to simplify complex workflows into clear solutions.

• Capability to design future-state workflows and formulate pre-sale implementation plans.

• Certifications in Coupa, Ariba, Workday, or other ERP/P2P platforms are a plus.

• Familiarity with SQL or scripting is advantageous.

• Experience collaborating closely with Product teams to influence the roadmap is a bonus.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% or more for onsite discovery workshops, executive briefings, and solution validation sessions.
