Strategic Sourcing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to Integrated Facilities Management clients and internal stakeholders in optimizing JLL-managed services operations and sourcing strategies.

• Deliver insights on market trends, suppliers, and operational intelligence for services operations.

• Identify and guide field resources in the execution of strategic initiatives.

• Act as a subject matter expert in supporting JLL sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, and program management.

• Collaborate with sourcing professionals to achieve strategic objectives.

• Partner with the Sourcing Leader to prioritize deliverables, address operational challenges, and enhance client satisfaction.

• Engage with the Jones Lang LaSalle Sourcing and Facility Management teams to generate immediate and long-term client benefits.

• Conduct periodic market trend analyses, which include supplier-base and industry-change assessments.

• Present analysis to Supply Chain and business stakeholders in a client-ready format.

• Participate in and align strategic sourcing strategies within designated categories.

• Lead and assist cross-functional teams through RFXs, data analysis, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.

• Offer expertise, guidance, and follow-up for RFP/bid, contracting, and operational processes.

• Manage expectations of both internal and external customers.

• Ensure adherence to sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with Corporate Legal and Risk Management to confirm that contractual terms meet standards and undergo formal review and approval.

• Set priorities, assign deliverables, and resolve issues with Operations teams, temporary staff, and project-specific personnel.

• Support the development, implementation, coordination, and communication of regional and national programs.

• Work together with Facilities Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Vendor Management Operations.

• Assist in supplier relationship and performance programs with key suppliers.

• Participate in performance review meetings for Preferred Suppliers.

• Support JLL's e-commerce procurement initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from an accredited four-year college or university and/or over 5 years of strategic sourcing, supply chain, or related experience.

• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Proven ability to support teams in a decentralized environment.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and negotiating supplier contracts.

• Strong analytical skills to assess and determine optimal pricing structures.

• Excellent PC skills and proficiency in MS Office.

• Experience with Google Suite and AI applications and platforms is preferred.

• Analytical mindset with experience in maintaining compliance rates of 95% or higher.

• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality control, and compliance.

• Proven ability to work independently while knowing when to appropriately escalate issues.

• Proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong initiative and a consistent track record of achieving goals.

• Ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

• Reliable team player who upholds quality standards under demanding workloads.

• Project management experience is preferred.
