This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and implement comprehensive global strategies for the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) category, covering industrial supplies, spare parts, tools, and associated services.
• Perform market and cost analyses to guide sourcing decisions and establish long-term category plans.
• Formulate and execute regional or enterprise-wide sourcing strategies that align with business and operational goals.
• Oversee the complete strategic sourcing process, including RFI/RFP/RFQ procedures, supplier evaluations, and negotiations.
• Create and manage global framework agreements to promote standardization, leverage economies of scale, and maximize overall value.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, value engineering, and demand management initiatives.
• Cultivate and manage strategic supplier relationships on a global or multi-regional basis.
• Lead negotiations for commercial and contractual agreements, including complex service and indirect spend contracts.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews and maintain supplier performance metrics.
• Evaluate and mitigate supply risks through structured risk assessments, dual-sourcing strategies, and supplier diversification.
• Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, and regional procurement teams.
• Provide expertise on procurement governance, contract compliance, and resolution of supplier-related issues.
• Achieve annual cost savings and avoidance targets in line with organizational objectives.
• Monitor market trends, commodity indices, and supply market dynamics to proactively refine strategies.
• Track and report on KPIs, including savings delivery, compliance, supplier performance, and risk management.
• Provide sourcing leadership across additional indirect categories as necessary.
• Lead initiatives that span multiple categories, transformation projects, and enterprise-wide procurement efforts.
• Support regional sourcing requirements while ensuring alignment with global procurement strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 8 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management.
• Proven experience in indirect procurement, including contract negotiations and supplier management.
• Preferred: post-graduate degree and/or professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, APICS/CSCP, or PMP.
• Preferred: experience managing MRO categories within life sciences, medical device, laboratory, or other regulated manufacturing sectors.
• Strong knowledge of MRO spend categories, including industrial consumables, spare parts, maintenance services, calibration services, gases, chemicals, and lab equipment support.
• Expertise in leading complex negotiations, long-term supplier contracts, and cost optimization projects.
• Experience engaging with global suppliers and developing multi-regional sourcing strategies.
• Proficient in ERP and procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba, as well as spend analytics tools.
