This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Develop and execute strategies aimed at improving performance, minimizing denials, and reducing write-offs through performance enhancement techniques and methodologies.
• Assess operational workflows to pinpoint opportunities for increasing efficiency through technology, bots, and automation.
• Implement and uphold technological solutions within the department.
• Suggest policy, procedure, and training documentation pertinent to initiatives and projects.
• Set performance targets for the department.
• Act as a subject matter expert in eligibility, authorization, and medical necessity.
• Cultivate, maintain, and enhance knowledge of Electronic Health Record systems and third-party vendor functionalities to support optimal workflows.
• Function as a resource on performance improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with service lines and revenue cycle departments regarding pre-service verification operations.
• Educate supporting clinics on pre-service verification protocols and address system-related workflow challenges.
• Convey the departmental improvement strategy and devise plans to achieve performance metrics.
• Fulfill the role of project manager for interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure that training and documentation are in place for new and evolving processes.
• Advocate for the PRMO strategic vision, mission, and purpose.
• Deliver prompt verbal and written responses to patients, providers, payors, and departmental staff.
• Attend meetings and engage in committees, workgroups, and Work Culture initiatives.
• A bachelor's degree in a business or health-related discipline is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience is required.
• At least 3 years of experience with substantial responsibility in performance/process improvement.
• Proven experience in leading work teams is necessary.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to engage with customers and staff from diverse educational backgrounds.
• Skilled in analyzing data and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Capable of managing multiple diverse projects simultaneously through effective prioritization, efficient time usage, and organization.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle operations is required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
• Proficiency in computer literacy is necessary.
