Strategic Services Associate – Pre Service Verification

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute strategies aimed at boosting performance and minimizing denials and write-offs by utilizing performance improvement techniques and methodologies.

• Assess operational workflows and pinpoint opportunities to enhance efficiency through technology, automation, and bots.

• Implement and sustain technological solutions within the department.

• Propose policies, procedures, and training materials for various initiatives and projects.

• Set performance objectives for the department.

• Act as a subject matter expert regarding eligibility, authorization, and medical necessity.

• Create, maintain, and expand knowledge of electronic health record systems and third-party vendor capabilities to recommend the most effective workflows.

• Function as an expert resource on performance improvement methodologies.

• Collaborate with service lines and revenue cycle departments concerning pre-service verification operations.

• Educate associated clinics on pre-service verification processes and resolve issues related to system workflows.

• Convey departmental improvement strategies and devise plans to achieve performance metrics.

• Serve as a project manager for interdisciplinary teams.

• Ensure that training and documentation are provided for new and evolving processes.

• Advocate for the PRMO strategic vision, mission, and purpose.

• Cultivate a departmental culture that supports staff development and retention.

• Provide prompt verbal and written responses to patients, providers, payers, and departmental staff.

• Attend meetings and engage in assigned work culture initiatives, committees, and workgroups.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a business or health-related discipline is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with substantial responsibility for performance/process improvement.

• Proven experience in leading work teams is essential.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Capability to communicate effectively with customers and staff from diverse educational backgrounds.

• Proficiency in analyzing data and processes to identify improvement opportunities.

• Ability to manage multiple diverse projects simultaneously through effective prioritization, time management, and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with revenue cycle operations is required.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

• Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
