Strategic Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and execute strategic projects within Pinnacle East’s Texas and Wisconsin markets focused on physical plant and construction endeavors.

• Oversee and manage construction projects from the initial concept and scope development through the bidding process, contract formation, construction phase, final approvals, and project close-out.

• Collaborate with the Director of Construction to create a rolling 5- to 10-year capital forecast.

• Assess potential property acquisitions for their condition, associated risks, and impacts on capital costs.

• Conduct site evaluations for Pinnacle communities and assist in establishing objectives to enhance assessment scores.

• Examine market data to uncover opportunities and vulnerabilities.

• Establish targets to rectify operational deficiencies identified in site assessments.

• Co-facilitate bi-weekly meetings with the Plant and Maintenance Leadership teams.

• Monitor CapEx budgets and provide reports on capital expenditure status to the Director of Construction and VP of Operations.

• Share information and training on CapEx policies and projects.

• Send project summaries to Market Leaders.

• Offer updates on strategic initiatives and capital expenditures during leadership meetings.

• Identify technologies, vendors, and external partners to lower construction and physical plant operating costs.

• Engage in candidate interviews and give constructive feedback for Maintenance Director positions.

• Exhibit behavior that reflects the values of Pennant Culture.

• Travel to communities and remote locations, often requiring overnight stays.

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.

• Capable of handling a substantial workload within designated time frames.

• Able to swiftly adjust priorities as needed based on changing circumstances.

• Must fulfill the minimum age requirements set by state regulations governing the community.

• Possess good moral character.

• Must be able to obtain clearance for criminal history.

• Compliance with all training requirements is essential.

• Must be in good standing with state and federal authorities and not listed on any government exclusion list.

• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.

• Remain calm and composed in emergency situations.

• Work effectively and harmoniously with other staff members.

• Seek out and adopt new methods and principles to enhance existing practices.

• Follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.

• Familiarity with computers, email, spreadsheets, software applications, and word processing documents.

• Willingness to travel for training and work-related activities.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record with no major violations.

• Capable of frequent movement throughout the workday and performing physical tasks for extended durations.

• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to eight hours a day.

• Frequently able to sit, kneel, bend, reach, and stretch.

• Capacity to carry up to 50 pounds and support weights of up to 70 pounds.
