This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the Enterprise Software PMO at Agilent within the Productivity Solutions Division.
• Propel portfolio governance, prioritize investments, plan resources, and implement strategic software transformation initiatives.
• Oversee the Portfolio and Project Management Center of Excellence team in the PSD.
• Provide support to the Productivity Solutions Division while establishing team structure for the newly created division.
• Supervise the execution of Lifecycle and Business projects within the portfolio.
• Direct Project Portfolio Management processes, including roadmaps, prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with PSD and ACG functional leadership to assign and assist Project Managers and Project Leaders.
• Facilitate monthly staff meetings for the PSD.
• Aid in the annual strategic planning process and other pivotal business initiatives.
• Report directly to the Associate Vice President of ACG Strategy & Business Operations CoE.
• Manage performance, development, and task assignments of portfolio and project managers.
• Cultivate Project Managers for future roles within Agilent.
• Lead staff discussions regarding investment, resourcing, and prioritization decisions.
• Advise on productivity project progress and the overall status of portfolio management.
• Engage stakeholders in project manager assignments, prioritization, and execution efforts.
• Ensure projects adhere to agreed-upon requirements for scope, time, cost, and quality using Agilent procedures and best practices.
• Communicate problems, issues, risks, and solutions effectively.
• Coach, mentor, and develop program and project managers and their teams.
• Collaborate with functional managers on project delivery processes, reporting, resource distribution, and planning.
• Oversee detailed project plans, work and cost estimates, critical path evaluations, budgets, schedules, objectives, and risks.
• Align Project Portfolio Management best practices and processes across ACG PMCoE organizations.
• Support organizational growth, development, and strategic planning at both ACG and PSD levels.
• Over 10 years of experience in project, program, or portfolio management, leading large-scale, complex projects or portfolios with multiple stakeholder groups.
• More than 5 years of experience in formal or informal leadership roles.
• Proven experience in leading a program management office for a large (Fortune 500) multinational corporation.
• Background in people management, including development and mentoring capabilities.
• Experience navigating complex matrixed organizations and facilitating to resolve competing priorities and diverse opinions.
• Extensive experience with PLM methodologies (PMP, Agile, Scrum, Six Sigma).
• Experience in software development projects and processes is essential.
• Must possess Agile experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is required.
• A Master's degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Project Management Institute PMP certification is preferred.
• Six Sigma, Agile, or Scrum Master certification is preferred.
• Experience in analytical life sciences, laboratory, software, SaaS, or informatics industries is preferred.
• Willingness to align working hours with the needs of the PSD Division Staff.
• Travel is required: 25% of the time.
