This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Conduct research on potential funders, philanthropists, foundations, family offices, corporations, multilaterals, and other strategic collaborators, converting findings into clear and actionable insights.
• Develop prospect profiles, histories of meetings, summaries of relationships, talking points, key inquiries, and briefing documents.
• Create maps of networks, relationships, and potential connectors while keeping track of relevant funding and philanthropic trends.
• Manage follow-up actions from key donor and partner meetings.
• Assist in the creation of proposals, concept notes, donor reports, due diligence, and partnership documentation.
• Ensure accurate fundraising records are maintained within Salesforce and Asana.
• Perform deduplication, data cleaning, record validation, and data quality monitoring.
• Keep track of pipeline stages, cultivation-cycle progression, engagement notes, and relationship insights.
• Log stewardship touchpoints and recognition history in Salesforce.
• Generate basic Salesforce reports, prepare data extracts and pipeline materials, and highlight relationships that need follow-up.
• Organize global pipeline reviews and follow up on outstanding commitments.
• Assist in senior-level engagement with key prospects and partners.
• Facilitate engagement at events such as UNGA, World Water Week, AVPN, Impact Europe, and Skoll through research, targeting, scheduling, briefing, and follow-up.
• Maintain records of event discussions and opportunities.
• Handle gift entry and assist with monthly revenue and gift reconciliation.
• Keep grant preparation and reporting calendars up to date.
• Organize digital records for donor correspondence, proposals, reports, agreements, and due diligence materials.
• Manage Development-team receipts, expenses, credit card reporting, and invoices.
• Provide general administrative and operational assistance to the Development function.
• Support the cultivation and stewardship of selected prospective and current partners.
• Independently manage selected early-stage relationships and opportunities as needed.
• Around 2-4 years of relevant experience in fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships, business development, research, international development, consulting, or a similar field.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and written communication abilities, with a knack for distilling detailed information into concise, actionable briefings.
• Strong organizational and project management capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
• Proficient with CRM systems, data management, spreadsheets, and digital research tools; experience with Salesforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Comfortable collaborating across teams, cultures, and time zones, and engaging with senior leaders and sensitive information.
• Possess commercial and political awareness, curiosity, sound judgment, and a genuine interest in philanthropy, strategic partnerships, and Splash's mission.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled research and productivity tools, along with the discernment to verify information and use these tools effectively.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
