This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the development and execution of national-level strategic partnerships with nonprofit, public-sector, and private-sector entities.
• Engage in partner meetings and calls; document notes and monitor action items.
• Create briefing documents, meeting agendas, presentations, and materials for partnerships.
• Conduct research on potential and existing partners to enhance partnership development and engagement.
• Keep partnership records accurate and up-to-date.
• Aid in the project management of partnership implementation across internal teams, ensuring coordination of timelines, deliverables, and follow-ups.
• Facilitate coordination and governance activities for the 140+ member White Oak Collaborative.
• Manage coalition communications, including updates and correspondence with member organizations.
• Prepare for and follow up on coalition meetings, including agendas, materials, notes, and action items.
• Assist with member engagement and onboarding, including maintaining member records and communications.
• Monitor coalition activities and support coalition meetings, convenings, and annual events.
• Coordinate engagement, activities, and communications with participating Do Your Part states.
• Track state commitments and activities to ensure alignment with program goals.
• Research, monitor, and analyze state policy developments affecting military and veteran families.
• Transform policy findings into actionable insights for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Prepare briefings, talking points, and background materials regarding state policy topics.
• Support state-focused communications, meetings, resources, and convenings.
• Coordinate timelines, stakeholders, materials, and follow-ups across Strategic Alliances projects.
• Maintain records and tracking systems, including Salesforce.
• Provide project and administrative support for the Strategic Alliances portfolio.
• Collaborate with various departments to align partnership, coalition, and policy activities with internal processes and organizational priorities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in partnership support, coalition coordination, project management, policy research, or a related field.
• Strong interest in and/or passion for the mission and work of Blue Star Families.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to create clear, professional materials for both internal and external audiences.
• Proficiency in independently researching, synthesizing, and summarizing information from diverse sources.
• Strong project coordination and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines in a fully remote environment with minimal guidance.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and/or Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel out of town overnight several times a year for staff offsites, planning retreats, and company-wide events.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems, or a willingness to learn (preferred).
• Experience or interest in issues concerning military and veteran families, nonprofit partnerships, coalition management, or public policy (preferred).
• Familiarity with generative AI tools for content creation or research support (preferred).
• Experience in supporting large-scale meetings, convenings, or events (preferred).
• Fully remote work arrangement within the continental US.
• Mandatory participation in scheduled in-person staff offsites, planning retreats, and company-wide events several times per year.
• Exempt full-time employee position.
