This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Act as the main finance liaison for one or multiple business units or functions.
• Establish trusted relationships with the Executive Leadership Team and senior stakeholders.
• Take ownership of the annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
• Examine monthly and quarterly financial results against budget and forecast.
• Identify variance drivers and convert them into actionable insights for leadership.
• Collaborate on pricing, headcount planning, investment cases, and new product launches.
• Develop financial models and business cases to facilitate decision-making.
• Prepare materials suitable for board and ELT presentations, monthly business reviews, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc analyses.
• Recognize business trends, risks, and opportunities while providing recommendations.
• Enhance forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and FP&A tools and systems.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Sales, Operations, and other departments to ensure consistent and accurate financial data.
• Serve as a trusted advisor who challenges assumptions and aids leaders in making informed decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role.
• Proven experience in presenting to and influencing senior leaders (VP-level and above).
• Proficient financial modeling skills in Excel/Google Sheets; ability to build models from scratch.
• Familiarity with FP&A or BI tools such as Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Tableau, or Power BI is a significant advantage.
• Strong SQL or data manipulation skills are a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills; capable of translating complex financial concepts into clear, business-relevant language for non-financial audiences.
• Inquisitive, proactive, and comfortable constructively pushing back when data suggests an alternative narrative.
• High attention to detail while maintaining the ability to see the broader context.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and prioritize among competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
