This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Oversee controllership operations, guaranteeing the quality, integrity, and reliability of financial data.
• Direct and supervise the monthly closing procedure, ensuring deadlines are adhered to and data is precise and thorough.
• Collaborate with internal teams and the Accounting department for monthly and annual closings.
• Compile, assess, and organize documents and information requested by external auditors, ensuring data traceability and consistency.
• Assist in analyzing results, budgets, forecasts, and other requests related to Controllership.
• Create and improve controls, spreadsheets, and processes that enhance the efficiency and reliability of information.
• Examine variances in balance sheet and income statement accounts, pinpointing inconsistencies, deviations, and potential adjustments.
• Address inquiries from external audits.
• Act as the main Controllership contact during monthly and annual closing procedures and external audits.
• Participate in the ongoing enhancement of closing processes, internal controls, and the quality of management information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in Controllership, Accounting, or auditing.
• Practical experience with monthly and annual accounting closure procedures.
• Familiarity with account reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Capability to interpret financial statements and identify discrepancies.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to work independently, maintain organization, and meet deadlines.
• Experience in technology or SaaS companies, or businesses with recurring revenue models is an advantage.
• Experience with external audits is beneficial.
• Background in automating processes and enhancing controls is a plus.
• Understanding of Revenue Recognition processes in SaaS companies is advantageous.
