Strategic Communications Senior Associate, Super Pollutants

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with GSCC colleagues and global partners to create a strategic communications campaign strategy focused on super pollutants.

• Establish a network of experts, media contacts, and influencers to generate content for diverse audiences and platforms.

• Offer strategic communications expertise on super pollutants for high-level decision-makers.

• Propel a global narrative transformation through impactful strategic influence across both traditional and new media channels.

• Formulate, build, and implement strategic communications strategies aimed at reducing global super pollutants in critical markets.

• Conduct the development of communications strategies, landscape assessments, messaging, audience evaluations, message testing, and digital campaign creation.

• Create data-driven messaging to bolster aligned and effective partner interventions.

• Outline national-level super pollutant campaigns and determine additional resource needs.

• Engage sensitively with partners from diplomatic and civil society organizations.

• Report intelligence and updates to Team Energy and super pollutant partners.

• Identify and involve industry and technical voices to promote super pollutant mitigation narratives.

• Collaborate with Team Energy and GSCC colleagues throughout the network.

• Participate in relevant calls and meetings, taking into account different time zones.

• Develop contacts, networks, and partner engagement in key target countries.

• Advise partners on strategic communications initiatives.

• Embody and uphold the values of GSCC.


⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in strategic climate communications, particularly in the realm of super pollutants.

• Expert-level knowledge of super pollutant issues encompassing agriculture, energy, food, and more.

• Demonstrated capability to formulate and execute successful communications strategies.

• Strong understanding of the global media landscape, including emerging media platforms.

• Experience working with global teams across various time zones.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English, the primary working language.

• Additional language skills are a plus.

• Willingness to collaborate generously with colleagues in a high-trust global peer community.

• Flexible and adaptable skillset suited for a fast-paced, diverse work environment.

• Ability to operate across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack, email, and Google Workspace.

• Commitment to an inclusive and empowering approach to addressing climate change.

• Candidates must possess the legal right to work in their location.
