Strategic Communications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead the annual strategic communications planning process and calendar, ensuring alignment of communications activities with business strategies, commercial goals, and corporate priorities.

• Serve as the strategic communications business partner for Corporate Affairs, Divisional Marketing teams, and Internal Communications Business Partners.

• Create communication campaigns that involve audience segmentation, messaging frameworks, channel strategies, campaign objectives, and measurement methodologies.

• Oversee activities across earned media, thought leadership, organic social media, executive profiling, stakeholder engagement, and community initiatives.

• Establish and manage the strategic communications editorial pipeline from ideation to execution on a monthly and weekly basis.

• Coordinate Press & Media, Social Executive, and Community Executive activities with Digital and Content Marketing teams across various divisions.

• Ensure a well-structured program of stories, campaigns, and content opportunities that align with key business priorities.

• Maintain consistency in messaging, positioning, and storytelling while allowing for flexibility to meet divisional and regional needs.

• Utilize data, insights, and performance metrics to enhance effectiveness and focus resources on high-value activities.

• Report directly to the Head of Strategic Communications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, marketing, public affairs, journalism, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in strategic communications, corporate affairs, communications planning, or integrated marketing communications.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing integrated strategic communications plans and campaigns.

• Familiarity with working in a complex matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.

• Proficient in engaging across earned, owned, and social media channels.

• Experience collaborating with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of SEO, digital marketing, and content optimization principles.

• Proficient in PowerPoint design and Excel.

• Comfortable using planning tools such as Click Up.
