
Strategic Business Development Manager – Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a targeted portfolio of designated strategic data center accounts
• Create detailed account plans that outline customer priorities, key stakeholders, facilities, projects, partners, growth opportunities, and subsequent actions
• Cultivate relationships with owners and decision-makers in design, construction, procurement, facilities, and executive leadership
• Engage with architects, consultants, developers, general contractors, and authorized installers
• Identify projects at an early stage and map customer and project ecosystems
• Promote FiberTite roof systems into standards, specifications, programs, and individual projects
• Prepare for and conduct customer meetings, setting objectives, participant roles, desired decisions, and follow-up plans
• Collaborate with Strategic Channel Development, CORE sales, technical, product, marketing, customer service, and operations teams
• Establish repeatable, multi-location business through account standards, preferred solutions, and program agreements
• Relay account plans, stakeholder updates, opportunities, risks, customer feedback, and support requirements to leadership and relevant teams
• Lead commercial discussions and negotiations within assigned authority
• Maintain records of accounts, contacts, activities, opportunities, and projects in Seaman360
• Manage pipeline and forecasting with clear next steps, timelines, values, and decision paths
• Measure progress through account penetration, specifications, conversions, program adoption, pipeline quality, and sales growth
• Travel required: 40–60%
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• A minimum of five years in business development, strategic account management, or consultative sales experience related to complex commercial construction, building products, data centers, or similar markets
• Proven ability to manage intricate sales cycles, build relationships across various functions and levels, and translate account strategy into documented opportunities and outcomes
• Willingness to travel 40–60%
• Ability to effectively collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams
• Preferred: experience with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or developer-led data center programs and their design and construction ecosystems
• Preferred: knowledge of commercial roofing or building envelope systems, specifications, project delivery, and the roles of owners, architects, contractors, and installers
• Preferred: experience in developing national or multi-site customer programs, including executive reviews, standards, and coordinated project support
• Preferred: capability to quickly establish credibility, ask insightful questions, listen attentively, challenge assumptions constructively, and tailor solutions to customer priorities
