
Strategic Account Manager – U.S. Air Force Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.
• Formulate and implement ACS's U.S. Air Force growth strategy.
• Create multi-year campaign plans that are in sync with Air Force budget cycles, modernization priorities, and acquisition pathways.
• Monitor Air Force POM, budget, congressional, and acquisition activities to pinpoint future opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational users, program executive offices, program managers, and other acquisition stakeholders to influence requirements prior to formal solicitation.
• Promote the integration of ACS technologies into Air Force concepts, requirements documents, and capability development initiatives.
• Manage strategic opportunities from their identification to the contract award stage.
• Lead capture teams and devise capture plans, competitive assessments, win strategies, and customer engagement plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to enhance the probability of winning.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships across Air Force acquisition, modernization, and operational organizations.
• Represent ACS at conferences, industry days, and demonstrations relevant to market entry.
• Convert customer feedback into actionable product requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to ensure the roadmap aligns with Air Force priorities.
• Build and lead cross-functional pursuit teams encompassing engineering, product, finance, operations, contracts, and executive leadership.
• Over 10 years of experience in defense business development, capture management, military acquisition, or operational leadership, with a demonstrated history of securing and expanding DoD programs.
• In-depth knowledge of Air Force acquisition processes and organizations, including budgeting, POM cycles, and funding mechanisms.
• Proven experience in shaping requirements before formal solicitation.
• Experience leading complex captures valued at $25M or more.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Political Science, Military Studies, or a related field.
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and executive engagement abilities.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Preference for former Air Force officers, acquisition professionals, program managers, senior government civilians, or recognized defense industry growth leaders.
• Preferred existing relationships within Air Force acquisition and modernization organizations.
• Experience in transitioning programs from prototype to Program of Record is preferred.
• Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, counter-UAS, force protection, air defense, sensors, command and control, or advanced weapons systems is preferred.
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
