This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Take ownership of strategic global or regional accounts and OEM partners.
• Deliver extensive support throughout all phases of the sales process.
• Market and sell the complete LGC Standards portfolio.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with strategic accounts, including leadership, laboratory stakeholders, procurement, and other key influencers.
• Enhance customer retention and drive expansion.
• Offer product awareness, consultations, and solutions at headquarters and site locations.
• Work collaboratively with account managers at designated strategic accounts.
• Oversee coordination among account managers, end-market sales managers, quoting specialists, and customer service teams.
• Advocate for LGC Standards products and brands through marketing initiatives and distributor channels.
• Achieve and surpass projected sales targets.
• Prepare sales proposals for bidding opportunities.
• Mentor and coach members of the sales organization.
• Acquire a deep understanding of LGC products and their applications.
• Utilize LGC sales tools to manage prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts.
• Organize and participate in exhibitions, seminars, and other events to bolster brand visibility.
• Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with global key accounts and OEM partners.
• Recognize growth opportunities and spearhead customer engagement initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or a related field; a combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated experience in selling technical products utilized in research laboratories.
• Previous successful experience in key account management with central procurement is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret RFQs, contracts, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Experience with customer relationship management systems such as Salesforce and Desk.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is an advantage.
• Exceptional commercial awareness and planning skills.
• Proven history of meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish or French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% within the designated territory.
• Ability to establish trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders and function as a strategic advisor.
• Skill in leading complex, high-stakes negotiations and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
• Capability to coordinate among manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and product teams.
• Proficiency in managing demand variability, capacity constraints, and operational risks.
• Current U.S. work authorization is mandatory.
• Sponsorship for temporary visas, including H-1B, H-2B, OPT, O-1, and TN, is not available.
