This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify challenges and growth prospects specific to clients, aligning them with Vestcom’s technology-oriented solutions.
• Drive revenue growth by showcasing the return on investment from data-integrated media platforms.
• Manage a portfolio of five or more mid-market accounts.
• Lead client development strategies and strategic planning for assigned accounts.
• Develop annual and long-term revenue forecasts that align with clients' strategic objectives.
• Build and strengthen partnerships with senior executives in the retail sector.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts that enhance profitability and support scalable growth.
• Oversee, recruit, and mentor a cross-functional sales team.
• Create and execute client development strategies across assigned accounts.
• Advise executives on decisions related to shelf-edge and in-store media.
• Provide thought leadership on retail technology and solutions.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Solutions, Shopper, innovation, and marketing teams on growth plans and sales materials.
• Secure new business by gaining executive buy-in and aligning stakeholders.
• Analyze annual reports and strategic documents to pinpoint client goals.
• Convert data-integrated benefits into compelling value propositions for clients.
• Coordinate with the shelfAdz® group to meet media network and revenue targets.
• Promote the adoption of Media Solutions tactics throughout the client base.
• Guide the prospecting and proposal development process.
• Provide precise, detailed sales forecasting for media network elements.
• Execute supervisory responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, training, directing work, conducting performance reviews, and managing rewards, discipline, and problem resolution.
• At least three years of experience providing enterprise-level, multi-stakeholder outsourcing strategies or solutions in the retail sector.
• Experience in systems or technology outsourcing is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining influential partnerships with senior executives at major retail firms.
• Professional experience with a marketing services provider, technology company, management consultancy, or in complex industrial sales—preferably in a leadership or business development role.
• Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or surpassing revenue and profitability targets.
• Proven ability to expand and scale established business operations within a complex retail environment.
• Advanced consultative selling skills, including sophisticated negotiation, conflict resolution, account management, and implementation of cutting-edge sales strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of how to position complex services across Operations, Merchandising, IT, and Marketing.
• Exceptional analytical skills and interpersonal abilities; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to shift between high-level strategic planning and hands-on tactical sales execution.
• Proficient in delivering oral presentations and creating executive-level slide decks.
• Familiarity with standard CRM platforms, lead generation tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Willingness to travel periodically to various locations, estimating 25-50% travel time.
• Preferred: Experience in the food industry, either directly or indirectly.
