This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Identify specific challenges and growth opportunities for clients, aligning them with Vestcom’s technology-driven solutions.
• Drive top-line revenue by showcasing the return on investment from data-integrated media platforms.
• Manage a portfolio of five or more mid-market accounts.
• Lead client development strategies and strategic planning for assigned accounts.
• Create annual and long-term revenue forecasts that align with client strategic objectives.
• Foster and enhance partnerships with senior retail executives.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts that improve profitability and support growth.
• Oversee, recruit, and mentor a cross-functional sales team.
• Develop and implement innovative client development strategies.
• Advise executives on decisions related to shelf-edge and in-store media.
• Offer thought leadership on retail technology and solutions.
• Collaborate with Strategy, Solutions, Shopper, Innovation, and Marketing teams to create account growth plans and sales materials.
• Acquire new business through executive buy-in and alignment with stakeholders.
• Review annual reports and strategic documents to discern client objectives.
• Present and advocate for platform value propositions.
• Guide retailer measurement standards to enhance top-line growth and bottom-line efficiency.
• Coordinate with the shelfAdz® team to meet media network and total revenue goals.
• Promote the reach and adoption of Media Solutions tactics across the client base.
• Lead prospecting efforts and the development of proposals.
• Deliver precise and detailed sales forecasts.
• At least three years of experience providing enterprise-level, multi-stakeholder outsourcing strategies or solutions in the retail sector.
• Experience in systems or technology outsourcing is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining influential partnerships with senior executives at major retailers.
• Professional experience with a marketing services provider, technology company, management consultancy, or in complex industrial sales—preferably in a leadership or business development role.
• Demonstrated history of consistently achieving or surpassing established revenue and profitability goals.
• Proven ability to grow and scale established business operations within a complex retail environment.
• Advanced consultative selling skills, including sophisticated negotiation, conflict resolution, account management, and implementation of next-generation sales strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of positioning complex services across Operations, Merchandising, IT, and Marketing.
• Exceptional analytical skills and interpersonal abilities; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to shift between high-level strategic planning and hands-on, tactical sales execution.
• Proficiency in delivering articulate oral presentations and creating impactful executive-level slide decks.
• Familiarity with standard CRM platforms, lead generation tools, and the Microsoft Office suite.
• A Bachelor's degree is mandatory for this position.
• Willingness to travel periodically to various locations, estimated at 25-50% travel time.
