This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +2 more states.
• Promote and sell storage products and solutions within the designated territory, industry, or accounts.
• Grow and enhance current opportunities while actively pursuing new business prospects.
• Create pursuit strategies and develop as well as manage the storage sales pipeline.
• Participate in proposal development, negotiations, and finalizing deals.
• Foster sales readiness and impart storage knowledge to minimize client learning curves.
• Provide technical support to Account Managers and engage in complex client interactions.
• Oversee pipeline hygiene activities in collaboration with account managers, presales teams, channel partners, and stakeholders.
• Keep internal sales tools, pipeline, and account plans up to date.
• Work collaboratively across HPE teams on comprehensive account planning and business development initiatives.
• Evaluate solution feasibility and qualify opportunities for engagement.
• Negotiate lucrative deals to expand HPE's storage presence and revenue streams.
• Identify prospects, negotiate terms, and finalize sales of the Storage portfolio.
• Develop professional and consultative relationships with clients.
• Anticipate customer requirements and facilitate solution creation with both internal and external experts.
• Build channel relationships, enable key technologies, and co-sell to end users.
• Organize Storage marketing campaigns and sustain their momentum.
• Serve as a trusted consultant for storage solutions within assigned accounts and regions.
• Clearly communicate HPE's strategy and portfolio to partners and advocates to uncover new opportunities.
• Utilize references to simplify complex technological concepts.
• Generate customer interest, grasp buying patterns, and convey ROI and TCO benefits.
• Assist in deal finalization with account managers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders.
• A University degree or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in enterprise technology field sales.
• Experience in selling to State & Local Government (SLED) customers is highly preferred.
• Preferred background in storage, data center infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise hardware/software sales.
• Proven track record in building pipeline and driving new business initiatives.
• Reside in Massachusetts or within the Northeast territory (Maine or New Hampshire).
• Willing to travel approximately 40–50% within the assigned territory.
• Demonstrated success in selling enterprise storage, data center, cloud infrastructure, or related technology solutions.
• Familiarity with public sector procurement and sales processes.
• Proven capability to build pipeline, prospect into new accounts, and grow existing customer relationships.
• Strong consultative selling skills with both technical and business stakeholders, including executive-level decision makers.
• Experience collaborating effectively with channel partners.
• Working knowledge of HPE, competitors, and emerging infrastructure technologies.
• Skills in territory planning, pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
