Staff Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Compose concise weekly news articles, technology evaluations, and various written materials.

• Collaborate with editors to generate article ideas and enhance content tailored for the channel.

• Conduct interviews with professionals from the IT channel and executives of companies.

• Stay updated on IT channel trends and discussions to uncover potential coverage opportunities.

• Work alongside editorial and sales teams to create custom content.

• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and occasionally write scripts for video content related to the channel.

• Engage in planning meetings with the channel team and leadership.

• Utilize project management tools to oversee multiple projects and meet weekly deadlines.

• Complete ad hoc tasks and assignments as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.

• Minimum of two years of experience in creating written and/or video content, especially in technology.

• Familiarity with the IT channel ecosystem and/or key vendors in infrastructure, security, or AI technologies.

• Strong writing skills that are clear and succinct.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English.

• Capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Self-driven with the ability to manage time independently with minimal supervision.

• Must possess a functioning laptop/PC, internet access, and a backup connection.

• Must be authorized to work in the Philippines at the time of hiring and maintain that authorization throughout employment.
