Staff UX/UI Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Establish the design strategy and direction for significant projects, overseeing comprehensive design across intricate, multi-platform products.

• Manage the architecture and governance of the design system, ensuring uniformity, scalability, and adaptability across products and teams.

• Spearhead the UX research strategy by choosing methodologies, integrating research into delivery, and ensuring insights drive product direction.

• Advocate for AI-driven design workflows and oversee their adoption in engagements, including Figma AI and Claude.

• Enhance design operations and process improvements for the Experience team's delivery and collaboration.

• Lead internal initiatives such as marketing, business development, and the advancement of the design practice.

• Collaborate with leadership and clients on design direction as a senior design authority at the engagement level.

• Work alongside engineers, strategists, and delivery leads to synchronize design decisions with technical and business realities.

• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions with clients and cross-functional teams.

• Mentor junior and mid-level designers.

• Set design quality standards and cultivate a critique culture.

• Make informed design decisions that balance usability, business objectives, and technical limitations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional UX/UI design experience with a robust product background.

• Proficient in Figma with experience in design system architecture.

• Extensive experience in leading design systems at scale, including architecture, governance, and cross-team implementation.

• In-depth UX research experience, encompassing research strategy, methodology selection, and translating insights into product direction.

• Proven experience in defining design strategy for complex products or projects.

• Background in presenting and influencing at leadership and client levels.

• Proven track record of mentoring designers and enhancing team craftsmanship.

• Strong experience with AI-assisted design tools and leading their integration within a team, such as Figma AI and Claude.

• Experience in facilitating workshops, design sprints, and collaborative sessions with clients and cross-functional teams.

• Service design experience, design operations leadership, or expertise in multi-platform design is a plus.
