Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive design process for the Derin v2 client interface, focusing on the client analytics platform.

• Establish the product design vision and develop flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define, sequence, and launch v2 through iterative releases.

• Create dashboards, charts, and reporting views that transform thousands of AI-driven conversations into actionable insights.

• Develop intuitive methods to analyze themes, behavioral segments, quotes, quantitative results, and detailed transcript drill-downs.

• Design visual indicators that enhance the clarity and trustworthiness of AI-generated outputs, including confidence levels, evidence, and connections between findings and source statements.

• Work alongside data science and behavioral science teams to ensure visual precision.

• Construct and uphold a scalable design system and component library, incorporating data visualization patterns.

• Advocate for accessibility, consistency, and high product quality.

• Integrate design thinking into how Surgo presents data across various products, sales materials, and client deliverables.

• Engage directly with clients and collaborate with product, engineering, data science, and behavioral science teams.

• Occasional travel may be required, including visits to the Washington, DC office.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience designing complex B2B or SaaS products, with a portfolio showcasing delivered work and the rationale behind it.

• Preferably possess experience in health tech, research tools, analytics, or AI products.

• Strong skills in data visualization, particularly in designing dashboards or reporting tools.

• Experience in transitioning a v1 product to a v2, ideally involving a significant redesign.

• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to recognize misleading visualizations.

• Proficient in Figma and modern prototyping tools.

• Solid grasp of design implementation and effective collaboration with engineers.

• Experience in designing for AI products, including the presentation of generated content, uncertainty, and evidence in reliable ways.

• Excellent communication abilities with clients, engineers, scientists, and executives.

• Comfortable working iteratively with research, data science, and behavioral science experts.

• Able to function as both a strategist and a hands-on designer in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment.

• Professional fluency in English is required.

• Must reside in Istanbul, Turkey.

• Regular overlap with US Eastern Time working hours is necessary.
