This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Operate independently across various projects simultaneously, adapting to diverse contexts, audiences, products, and priorities.
• Perform research and discovery tasks, including gathering and analyzing feedback, conducting desk research, benchmarking, and executing market studies.
• Assist in defining personas, user journeys, and user flows, while identifying key features and areas for enhancement.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner, Product Manager, and stakeholders to define and document design requirements.
• Develop low- and high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes, presenting and justifying proposed solutions.
• Create responsive layouts and screens that align with the brand’s visual identity.
• Aid in the development and upkeep of the Design System.
• Assist in conducting usability testing, analyze results, and implement necessary adjustments.
• Ensure interface accessibility adheres to WCAG guidelines whenever feasible.
• Utilize AI tools ethically and responsibly for research, ideation, prototyping, and productivity, critically assessing outputs while maintaining data security and confidentiality.
• Conduct design handoffs and monitor implementation with developers and QA, ensuring fidelity to the design.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Design, UX, Technology, or a related field (completed or nearing completion).
• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer on digital projects (web and/or mobile).
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
• Experience in creating and maintaining Design Systems and documenting components.
• Familiarity with conducting user research and usability testing, as well as defining personas and user journeys.
• Knowledge of digital accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines.
• Understanding and application of AI tools in design, with a critical approach and a strong sense of responsibility concerning ethics, privacy, and data protection.
• Experience managing multiple projects in varied contexts, showcasing strong organizational, autonomous, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and experience collaborating with product and development teams.
• A portfolio that illustrates the design process and outcomes.
• Nice to have: experience with public-sector products (GovTech), georeferenced solutions (maps, GIS, and geospatial data), complex products, AI integration in the design workflow, agile methodologies (Scrum), product metrics, HTML/CSS or front-end development, mentoring junior designers, and an interest in trends in UX, digital design, and artificial intelligence.
