πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Take charge of and direct the research roadmap for the consumer innovation workstream.

β€’ Collaborate with product, design, data science, and engineering leadership to define strategy and recognize opportunities.

β€’ Conduct generative and foundational research on topics related to food, nutrition, health, motivations, barriers, and behavioral triggers.

β€’ Utilize behavioral science frameworks such as habit loops, nudge theory, and behavior change models.

β€’ Implement and manage mixed-methods research, which includes qualitative studies, surveys, behavioral data analysis, and concept testing.

β€’ Convert research insights into actionable narratives that support decision-making from opportunity framing to product launch validation.

β€’ Sustain consumer knowledge bases, personas, and journey maps.

β€’ Guide junior researchers and help enhance research craft, culture, and standards.

β€’ Champion customer advocacy and impact product roadmaps and organizational strategy.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 8 years of experience in UX or consumer research within a product organization.

β€’ Significant experience in early-stage innovation or new product development.

β€’ Strong background or in-depth knowledge of behavioral psychology, behavioral economics, or related fields.

β€’ Proficiency in qualitative methodologies, including in-depth interviews, ethnographic and diary studies, usability testing, participatory design, and workshop facilitation.

β€’ Strong quantitative skills, encompassing survey design and analysis, behavioral data interpretation, experimental design, and mixed-methods synthesis.

β€’ Demonstrated capability to lead foundational, generative research.

β€’ Outstanding storytelling skills with the ability to transform human insights into engaging narratives.

β€’ Experience collaborating with or working alongside data science teams.

β€’ Proven history of influencing product roadmaps.

β€’ Proficiency in utilizing AI tools for research cycles while maintaining methodological integrity.

β€’ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

β€’ An advanced degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Anthropology, or a related field is preferred.

β€’ Preferred experience in marketplaces, e-commerce, grocery, CPG, or subscription products.

β€’ Preferred experience researching consumer surfaces, onboarding, activation, retention, AI-powered products, meal planning, nutrition, health goals, or dietary restriction management.
