Staff Technology Portfolio Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a unified system of record for the IT portfolio featuring shared definitions of program health.

• Comprehend and update information regarding ownership, status, target dates, blockers, and business rationale for around 100 programs.

• Conduct the weekly portfolio review, prepare pre-read materials, resolve outstanding items, and monitor risks.

• Identify cross-team dependencies and present them as managed risks.

• Oversee intake governance and make decisions on new requests within a week.

• Collaborate with IT Planning & Delivery leaders and program managers to establish and manage a program office.

• Create workflows for reporting, dependency analysis, and risk detection utilizing AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience managing programs or portfolios within a technology organization.

• Proven track record in complex program management, including the development or revitalization of a portfolio system of record.

• Regularly utilize LLM assistants and agents, like Claude, as a standard practice.

• Possess sound judgment in recognizing when AI may not be the appropriate tool and maintain discipline in verifying AI-generated outputs.

• Strong proficiency with PMO tools.

• Familiarity with enterprise IT, encompassing ERP, identity management, integrations, ITSM, and compliance.

• Ability to write concisely and clearly for executive audiences.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and proactive in identifying risks.

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and AI application development platforms such as Lovable is a plus.

• Background in a company that has successfully scaled through significant changes is a plus.
