Technical Application Manager – Pharmaceutical Ingredients

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify, cultivate, and secure new opportunities within the Biopharma sector, primarily engaging with customer R&D, manufacturing, and business development teams.

• Offer product suggestions, technical support, and formulation assistance to clients.

• Strengthen Univar Solutions’ presence within accounts through consultative and comprehensive selling strategies at all account levels.

• Provide qualitative and quantitative updates utilizing Salesforce CRM tools.

• Create industry reports, propose corrective actions, and aid in their execution.

• Track product trends and industry advancements, seek new business opportunities, conduct sales calls, and expand the territory.

• Collaborate with sales and product management teams to establish new business and support existing accounts through coordinated team efforts.

• Assist customers during project scale-up and technical transfer phases.

• Deliver technical training on product lines both internally and externally.

• Share the responsibility of achieving financial targets within assigned regions.

• Interpret government and regulatory standards relevant to the industry.

• Engage, network, and contribute to industry exhibitions and supplier training sessions.

• Generate thought-leadership content, present technical sessions at tradeshows, and help develop industry-specific marketing materials.

• Exhibit a commitment to the safety of oneself and colleagues.

• Oversee 3 direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a technical emphasis in the Biopharma industry, demonstrating a proven track record of success.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biotech, or Life Science is mandatory.

• Solid technical expertise in Biopharma manufacturing processes, formulations, and applications.

• Awareness of the primary drivers of the Biopharma R&D process on both national and global scales.

• Managerial experience is advantageous; this role will supervise 3 direct reports.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time; travel frequency and duration may vary.

• Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and independence.

• Strong interpersonal abilities to cultivate robust working relationships internally and externally across a diverse network.

• Proactive self-starter with a propensity to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Exceptional ability to comprehend, analyze, and convey complex scientific and technical information.

• Experience and competency in navigating regulated markets.
