Area Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct a team of account managers and support engineers to execute and realize the Australian sales strategy in the safest and most cost-efficient way.

• Take charge of and be responsible for the overall performance of the sales team in relation to the plan.

• Engage in prospect interactions, selling, and successfully closing new business opportunities.

• Review and authorize pricing structures and proposals.

• Meet gross profit targets.

• Promote team growth through mentoring, conflict resolution, and skill enhancement.

• Foster a culture of teamwork and trust within the team.

• Conduct performance management and personnel evaluations.

• Coordinate local operations to support Area, District, Regional, and Global strategies.

• Manage the flow of information to and from the Commercial Lead.

• Track customer satisfaction to ensure retention of accounts.

• Handle customer interactions, retain accounts, and enhance share-of-wallet growth.

• Assume responsibility for corporate accounts.

• Develop and implement program trials and ROI projects at both prospect and customer locations.

• Guide the team in responding to challenges, opportunities, and profitability objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Desirable experience in water treatment (5 years).

• Previous experience in the mining industry is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and customer database management.

• Willingness to travel regularly.

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is required.

• Valid Australian Driver’s License is necessary.
