Staff Technical Program Manager – Infrastructure Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives focused on Infrastructure Security in collaboration with security and infrastructure engineers.

• Influence and shape the technical direction of infrastructure security projects.

• Quickly prototype and validate project concepts through iterative development cycles.

• Balance outcome-oriented thinking with meticulous attention to essential details, prioritizing deep focus when necessary.

• Establish and secure stakeholder agreement on measurable success criteria for security initiatives.

• Evaluate risks and opportunities, creating proactive strategies for mitigation.

• Maintain open communication regarding progress, developments, and challenges.

• Present results and updates to senior leadership, highlighting trade-offs, risks, and emerging opportunities.

• Safeguard the cloud and data infrastructure that supports the Airbnb platform.

• Collaborate with senior individual contributors and leaders on processes, strategy, and execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 8 years as a Technical Program Manager (TPM) or in a related role.

• Proven capability to navigate ambiguity and drive projects from initial problem framing to completion.

• Ability to adapt and collaborate with teams that have varying operational rhythms.

• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, sense of ownership, data-driven analysis, and capacity to influence outcomes.

• Practical technical experience in infrastructure security, encompassing identity and access management, network security, encryption and key management, secure configuration, container and Kubernetes security, and data protection within cloud environments or data platforms.

• Understanding of incremental delivery and deployment processes.

• Quick learner when it comes to new technologies.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.

• Must reside in a state where Airbnb, Inc. is registered.
