Staff Technical Program Manager, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead initiatives across Reddit's infrastructure ecosystem, which includes Compute, Storage, Messaging, Transport, Core Platform, Ranking Platform, Security, and Compliance.

• Strategize and implement intricate, multi-team projects such as cluster migrations, storage enhancements, and Kafka client deployments.

• Collaborate with engineering teams as a technical partner, guiding planning and decision-making processes.

• Drive programs to completion, achieving significant business results.

• Develop and refine repeatable processes that minimize organizational inefficiencies.

• Leverage AI and LLM-assisted tools to automate reporting, enhance cost anomaly detection, speed up data analysis, and improve program management workflows.

• Mentor and support the informal development of others in organizational and program-related skills.

• Enhance program organization and empower teams to thrive after the conclusion of program involvement.

• Coordinate efforts across numerous teams and manage intricate dependency chains.

• Present financial narratives to Finance leadership and engineering directors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of combined experience in engineering and program management positions.

• Strong technical expertise and sound judgment.

• Comfortable discussing Kubernetes orchestration, storage solutions, Kafka, ML serving infrastructure, deployment pipelines, CDN and traffic management, as well as data platform architectures.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD systems, observability platforms, and container orchestration is highly regarded.

• Proven Technical Program Management capabilities, including scoping, scheduling, and steering long-term programs with multiple milestones.

• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale migrations and deprecations in cloud infrastructure settings.

• Excellent communication and influencing abilities.

• Familiarity with observability and data platforms such as Grafana, BigQuery, Hex, Looker, or comparable tools.

• Proven experience utilizing AI/LLM tools to enhance program management workflows, automate reporting, or boost engineering productivity.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
