Staff Software Technical Program Manager – Autonomy & Robotics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and manufacturing of an autonomous delivery robot.

• Collaborate with autonomy software teams to implement new autonomy features.

• Program manage and lead the development of the software stack across Perception, Planning, Localization, System Safety, Simulation, and Remote Assistance.

• Propel autonomy features from initial requirements or engineering concepts through to validated public-road operation.

• Engage with leaders and engineers from Autonomy, Software, Product, QA, and Operations.

• Organize, monitor, follow up, and address any issues that arise.

• Report to the manager of the Technical Program Management team.

• Interface on a daily basis with autonomy, software, safety, and operations teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of autonomy and validation strategies for autonomy features in simulation, closed-course testing, and on public roads.

• Over 8 years of industry experience in engineering and/or program management.

• Extensive experience with the software development life cycle.

• Proven success in bringing software products or features from concept to production.

• A history of managing complex, cross-functional programs with considerable ambiguity.

• Capability to operate from a deep technical level to providing detailed program status to executive leadership.

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in a STEM field.

• Practical experience with program management tools, including Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet/MS Project, and Google Workspace applications.
