Staff Software Engineer – Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Act as the engineering lead for a product initiative.

• Define challenges and determine the technical strategy.

• Take responsibility for the architecture, data model, integrations, rollout plan, observability, and rollback strategy.

• Guide AI agents to execute production code and manually write sensitive code when necessary.

• Set up prompts, guardrails, evaluations, tests, and review processes to ensure safe, accurate, and production-ready code.

• Deliver initiatives comprehensively from problem definition to production and post-launch metric analysis.

• Collaborate daily with the PM on scope and trade-offs, as well as with the designer on UX decisions and in-tool prototyping.

• Engage regularly with engineering colleagues and participate in weekly check-ins with the EM.

• Present the outcomes of initiatives 2–4 weeks post-launch.

• Guarantee production correctness, security, performance, observability, and customer and professional experience.

• Launch 3–4 initiatives within the first year and evaluate their results.

• Develop reusable runbooks, evaluations, agent workflows, and post-launch documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar AI coding agents.

• Genuine insights and experience with prompts, evaluations, agent loops, and review processes.

• Proven experience at a lead level, making technical decisions, delivering complex projects, and owning results.

• Outcome-focused mindset that prioritizes metrics and customer satisfaction.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with PMs, designers, and engineering peers within a shared codebase.

• Proficiency in making and documenting architectural, data model, and rollout decisions.

• Ability to create reusable materials such as agent workflows, evaluations, runbooks, and post-launch assessments.

• Customer- and professional-oriented approach.

• Strong expertise in at least one of the specified technology stacks.

• Credible production experience with AI coding agents.

• Familiarity with AI agents including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, internal agent stack, MCP servers, and evaluation tools.

• Experience with backend technologies such as PHP/Laravel.

• Experience with frontend technologies including TypeScript, React, and React Native.

• Knowledge of data technologies like Redshift, dbt, Segment, and Airflow.

• Familiarity with infrastructure and tools such as AWS, Datadog, Sentry, and GitHub Actions.

• Experience with Brain, Confluence, and Jira.
