Staff Software Engineer, Product

📋 Description

• Take ownership and lead significant product surfaces across Aleph's various product lines.

• Manage features from start to finish, collaborating with stakeholders to identify problems, and overseeing the launch and subsequent iterations.

• Develop high-performance, spreadsheet-quality user interfaces for extensive financial datasets.

• Construct data models and APIs spanning multiple product lines, including streaming results and managing long-running processes.

• Create AI-driven product features, encompassing orchestration, tool calls, and information retrieval.

• Elevate the engineering standard through exemplary code, thoughtful reviews, and effective communication.

• Collaborate directly with customers and other teams from the initial concept through to launch and iteration.

• You have successfully delivered highly intuitive products, paying attention to the details that enhance user experience.

• You have experience building across the technology stack in ways that benefit more than just the immediate feature.

• You are comfortable engaging directly with customers to identify issues before you begin coding.

• Teams not under your management have successfully adopted systems you developed.

• Strong foundational skills: able to trace requests from the user interface to the data store and make sound technical decisions at every layer.

• High level of agency; experience as a founder, engineering lead, or startup builder.

• Pragmatic approach: prioritize the simplest and most effective tools that will achieve the desired results.

• Craftsmanship: a deep commitment to code quality, producing code that is both correct and easy to understand.

• Communicate clearly, directly, and persuasively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in building complex B2B products, preferably from the ground up.
