C Embedded Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and sustain embedded software in C/C++ for security devices utilizing camera technology.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate software, hardware, and network connectivity challenges throughout the software stack.

• Implement new features and enhance current codebases within the product line.

• Enhance software performance for embedded environments with limited resources.

• Conduct code evaluations and offer technical guidance to team members.

• Engage in architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes.

• Work in conjunction with QA teams to formulate thorough testing strategies.

• Document software designs, APIs, libraries, and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Support existing products through debugging and bug resolution while innovating new features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of proficiency in C within embedded, bare-metal, and RTOS settings.

• At least 3 years of experience in embedded systems development.

• Knowledge of multi-core architectures and inter-core communication methods (IPC, mailbox, shared memory).

• Mastery of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Familiarity with Git, CMake, code evaluations, and continuous integration practices.

• Practical experience with hardware troubleshooting and debugging tools, such as JTAG.

• Proficiency in UART, I2C, SPI, and GPIO communication protocols.

• Experience with CI/CD practices using Jenkins.

• Familiarity with static analysis tools like Coverity.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience with C++, especially C++17, is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI-driven tools is a plus.

• Capability to work autonomously and take charge of complex projects is a plus.
