AI Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code for production environments.

• Engage in code reviews and work collaboratively utilizing Agile methodologies, Jira, and Git.

• Train and assess deep learning models and Vision-Language Models aimed at retail scene comprehension and product identification.

• Design and create features related to computer vision and computer graphics for interactive Augmented Reality workflows.

• Utilize 2D/3D geometric principles to develop spatial solutions.

• Profile, optimize, and quantize algorithms tailored for latency- and memory-sensitive edge hardware.

• Collaborate with multimodal LLMs, VLMs, and prompting techniques to develop automated recognition tools.

• Enhance and scale algorithms to ensure efficiency, resilience across various store conditions, and global implementation.

• Implement production-level solutions in thousands of stores worldwide.

• Work within a distributed international team leveraging Agile practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning and Deep Learning models in production or applied R&D settings.

• A solid grasp of both classical and contemporary computer vision concepts.

• Strong foundations in linear algebra, calculus, and mathematics relevant to 2D/3D geometry and spatial graphics.

• Hands-on experience with modern LLMs/VLMs and prompt engineering methodologies.

• High level of proficiency in Python programming.

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, with a preference for Keras, TensorFlow, and JAX.

• Proficient with standard software development tools.

• Capability to translate complex academic or R&D ideas into robust, maintainable production features.

• Comfortable with daily collaboration in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience in writing clean code, unit/integration testing, using Git, conducting code reviews, managing Jira, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

• Previous experience with Augmented Reality frameworks or computer graphics pipelines is preferred.

• Familiarity with optimizing models for edge devices and inference runtimes is a plus.

• Prior experience in retail analytics, planogram compliance, or fine-grained object recognition is advantageous.
