Staff Software Engineer – Databases

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Oversee multi-quarter technical projects from initial problem identification to final implementation.

• Take ownership of the architecture for essential Tempo components: ingestion, storage, query processes, and metrics generation.

• Create APIs designed for both human users and automated agents.

• Promote operational excellence throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading intricate, multi-quarter projects that encompass design, execution, and operational phases.

• Significant hands-on expertise in building and managing distributed data systems in production environments, including ingestion pipelines, storage solutions, query execution, or comparable systems.

• Ability to write clean, reliable, and efficient software that is maintainable by others.

• Proficient in Go, or a clear pathway towards achieving proficiency.
