Staff Software Engineer, Data Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design and implementation of data-driven systems that enhance customer insights.

• Convert concepts, wireframes, and comprehensive designs into data-centric web applications.

• Employ agentic loops throughout the development cycle to expedite value delivery.

• Conduct architecture and code evaluations to mentor and elevate technical standards.

• Prioritize, investigate, and resolve intricate issues related to distributed systems and third-party providers.

• Actively contribute to Highlight’s mission.

• Deliver features that influence product strategy and enhance customer value.

• Create efficient, maintainable systems while fostering engineering team capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in developing data-driven online applications.

• Knowledge of ETL and/or RAG design and development.

• Expertise in various technologies spanning the software stack: React, TypeScript, Next.JS, ai-sdk, PostgreSQL, and C#/.NET.

• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and v0.

• Bonus: experience in operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Helm.

• Bonus: experience with production systems leveraging AWS and EKS.

• Bonus: experience with observability platforms like Grafana/OTel.

• Proven ability to transform rough ideas into refined, usable data products.
