Staff Software Engineer, Backend – Platform, Core AI Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop Agentic AI systems that enhance customer support and automate compliance processes.

• Create foundational APIs and measurement frameworks to ensure that AI agents remain grounded, relevant, and dependable.

• Oversee the technical direction for distributed systems that support AI automation.

• Establish architectural patterns and strategic roadmaps in collaboration with engineering leadership.

• Develop reusable components and orchestration solutions to extend AI-driven automation across various domains.

• Guide engineers on the design of AI systems, coding standards, and best practices for production readiness in LLM-based applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Proven expertise in architecting distributed systems.

• Experience in deploying production-level AI/ML applications.

• A successful history of bringing LLM-based applications into production.

• Skills in measuring and enhancing grounding.

• Experience in minimizing hallucinations.

• Proficiency in establishing guardrails for reliability.

• Extensive experience in designing APIs, orchestration layers, and evaluation frameworks for scalable agentic AI systems.

• Background in customer support automation, compliance, or financial crimes sectors.

• Understanding of the reliability and correctness requirements pertaining to customer support automation, compliance, or financial crimes.

• Commitment to the responsible use of generative AI with appropriate human oversight.

• Capability to deliver business-ready solutions and measurable enhancements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
