Senior Backend Developer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

• Work with the latest Java versions, Google Kubernetes Engine, and Google Compute Engine.

• Create and implement containerized microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to deliver features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed a degree in Computer Science or training as an IT specialist in application development (m/f/d), or an equivalent qualification.

• Career changers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development.

• Strong expertise in backend development using Spring Boot.

• Knowledge of Java performance and scalability.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or a willingness to use them effectively.

• Proven track record of developing scalable and secure backend features.

• Ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

• Passion for agile software development.

• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development, code reviews, and Continuous Delivery.

• Proficient in written and spoken German and English.

• Fluent German is essential.

• Ideally, experience with Elasticsearch or Solr, handling large volumes of data, and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with IAM is a plus, e.g., OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML, SCIM, Keycloak, Auth0, Okta, or Microsoft Entra ID.
