Senior/Principal Go Developer, Cybersecurity Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and navigate a comprehensive backend ecosystem comprising multiple services with minimal onboarding assistance.

• Design and sustain backend services utilizing Golang.

• Produce clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

• Engage in code reviews and participate in technical discussions.

• Examine legacy and unassessed code to uncover technical debt, systemic problems, and architectural vulnerabilities.

• Spot inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement, recommending and implementing solutions.

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to establish technical goals and carry out roadmap initiatives.

• Champion architectural enhancements and negotiate technical choices with peer engineering teams.

• Contribute to the long-term evolution of the platform while managing immediate business priorities.

• Ensure the reliability and performance of high-load production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in commercial software development.

• Strong expertise in Golang.

• Solid computer science fundamentals, encompassing algorithms, data structures, and system design.

• Experience throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from planning and goal setting to delivery and support.

• Proven track record of working with high-load, high-traffic production systems.

• Strong grasp of scalable and maintainable backend architecture principles.

• Capability to work independently with large and unfamiliar codebases.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated proactive attitude with the skill to identify issues prior to escalation.

• Experience aligning technical solutions with business and customer requirements.

• Proficient communication and negotiation skills with engineering stakeholders regarding technical direction.

• Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency.
