Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of the Marketplace Health Engine

• Design and implement scalable systems that enhance marketplace efficiency, provider utilization, and patient accessibility at scale

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data, and Operations teams

• Identify and resolve challenges within the marketplace

• Lead the technical strategy within the Marketplace organization

• Provide mentorship to engineers

• Influence significant technical decisions while actively participating in software development

• Construct systems from the ground up

• Tackle complex problems within the marketplace

• Oversee projects from the stages of discovery and design through to implementation, launch, and post-launch support

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in software engineering focused on building scalable distributed systems

• Proven experience in leading technical initiatives across various teams and influencing technical strategy without direct authority

• Proficient in designing and developing backend services, APIs, and data-intensive systems

• Experience with AWS is preferred

• Skilled in collaborating with Product and Data teams to achieve business outcomes

• Expertise in addressing complex marketplace, platform, or large-scale operational challenges with measurable results

• Strong communication abilities to unite technical and non-technical stakeholders around a common vision

• Demonstrated experience in managing projects from discovery and design through to implementation, launch, and post-launch support

• Start-up experience is preferred

• Familiarity with developing SaaS applications utilizing AWS is preferred

• On-call experience with the capacity to independently resolve complex issues is preferred

• Experience with NodeJs, Typescript, and Kafka is preferred

• Background in products requiring high reliability and accuracy is preferred

• Must reside in the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii
