Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead the design of scalable, secure, distributed full-stack cloud services that process petabytes of data on a weekly basis.

• Take ownership of architecture and implementation while influencing execution across engineering teams.

• Tackle complex, cross-organizational technical challenges by leveraging technical expertise, collaboration, and hands-on implementation.

• Provide technical guidance across frontend, backend, and data layers.

• Collaborate with teams, peers, and principal engineers on system design and architecture.

• Develop AI-powered legal data solutions that operate at a massive scale.

• Promote engineering standards across multiple teams focusing on performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

• Set standards through design and code reviews, established patterns, best practices, documentation, and mentorship.

• Align technical execution with product strategies and delivery commitments.

• Identify and eliminate technical and operational obstacles.

• Mentor senior and lead engineers while shaping the culture and technical decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in designing, building, and managing complex cloud-native distributed systems.

• Proven technical leadership across various teams or domains.

• Strong expertise in architecture, security, and reliability at scale.

• Capacity to define technical direction and foster cross-team alignment.

• Experience in translating business objectives into technical strategies.

• Established ability to influence others without formal authority.

• Excellent mentorship and technical communication capabilities.

• Experience in shaping data platforms or UI standards.

• Familiarity with working in global or highly distributed organizations.

• A history of driving organization-wide technical enhancements.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.

• Experience in regulated or large-scale environments.
