Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of intricate technical challenges on the Corrigo Platform.

• Collaborate with Product and Architecture teams to establish technical strategies for complex features.

• Manage the complete delivery process of sophisticated, multi-component features from design to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

• Conduct code reviews and establish quality standards for the team.

• Diagnose and resolve cross-system production issues while driving systemic improvements.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance code quality and expedite delivery.

• Create and manage technical design documentation for significant features or architectural modifications.

• Guide P2/P3 engineers through collaboration, review processes, and direct feedback.

• Promote engineering best practices and participate in efforts to modernize the platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in developing SaaS/PaaS products.

• Proficiency in both frontend and backend development, or extensive expertise in one area with a strong working knowledge of the other.

• Familiarity with the .NET Framework, .NET 8, or .NET 10.

• Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC.

• Skills in API design and development of RESTful web services.

• Background in distributed applications, service-oriented architecture, caching, and associated concepts.

• Experience with asynchronous processing, queues, topics, and relevant technologies.

• Ability to comprehend business requirements and deliver effective technical designs and solutions.

• Experience in designing and developing relational databases.

• Working knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure.

• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools.

• Capability to assess and integrate new AI tools into software development workflows.

• Proven mentorship or technical leadership experience with junior engineers.

• Ability to create technical design documents and evaluate architectural trade-offs.

• Desirable: experience with platform modernization.

• Desirable: knowledge of ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework or NHibernate.

• Desirable: experience with Azure, NoSQL databases, and Elasticsearch.

• Desirable: familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.

• Desirable: knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.

• Desirable: experience with observability tools.

• Desirable: commitment to systematic tech-debt reduction.

• Desirable: experience with agile methodologies.
