Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop a consumer product that authenticates thinking and learning.

• Take ownership of user-facing product interfaces and essential learner experiences.

• Create secure communication channels between server-side, browser, and client-side components.

• Encrypt sensitive user information to guarantee privacy and security.

• Design storage architecture and schemas for maintaining persistent user states.

• Implement access controls for data and audit logging to ensure institutional security and compliance.

• Manage features from conception to production, including testing, monitoring, and iteration.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to uphold high output and code quality.

• Contribute to shared component libraries and adhere to codebase standards.

• Investigate circumvention tools, best practices, and industry competitors.

• Make informed decisions and deliver products in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of pertinent experience.

• Native proficiency in AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.

• Proven experience in delivering full-stack products to actual users, with accountability for their performance.

• Strong instincts for product development and user experience judgment.

• Capability to act swiftly, make informed decisions in uncertain situations, and enhance codebases.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain that authorization throughout their employment.

• A portfolio or GitHub link must be included with the application.
