This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
β’ Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level, agentic-first features within the Nexus Repository Manager.
β’ Establish the technical vision for a significant product domain.
β’ Coordinate multiple agents across various parallel workflows that include decomposition, orchestration, implementation, testing, and review.
β’ Manage key projects from vague problem definitions through technical design, cross-team execution, rollout, and sustainable operability.
β’ Define evaluations, harnesses, guardrails, and review processes for code produced by agents.
β’ Create internal agentic engineering playbooks, tools, and established practices.
β’ Provide training and mentorship to Senior engineers.
β’ Take ownership of performance, reliability, and security requirements, including addressing software supply chain risks.
β’ Collaborate with Product, Security Research, UX, and Support leaders to convert customer requirements into technical strategies.
β’ Conduct in-depth design reviews and enhance engineering quality benchmarks.
β’ Work with Principal engineers on complex technical decisions.
β’ Influence the Nexus technical roadmap and set the engineering hiring standards.
β’ Familiarity with multi-step, long-running agent workflows as the standard software development approach.
β’ Practical experience in designing, operating, and scaling multi-agent systems, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor background agents, custom orchestrators, or LangGraph-style graphs.
β’ Knowledge of MCP tools, shared context and memory, agent transitions, and robust evaluation harnesses.
β’ Proven experience in delivering projects utilizing multi-agent systems.
β’ Proficient in defining evaluations, test harnesses, observability, and review processes.
β’ Experience leading internal rollouts, publishing, open-sourcing, or promoting agentic engineering methodologies.
β’ A product engineering mindset, capable of independently making product decisions and managing scope, trade-offs, and sequencing.
β’ Over 7 years of professional software development experience.
β’ Demonstrated success in leading technical initiatives over multiple quarters that span several teams or services.
β’ Strong proficiency in Java, cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), and large-scale distributed systems.
β’ Experience with performance optimization, data-heavy services, and maintaining production operability at scale.
β’ Working knowledge of software supply chain security.
β’ Familiarity with SBOM formats (CycloneDX, SPDX), SCA, SLSA provenance, Sigstore/cosign signing, vulnerability analysis (OSV, NVD), and package ecosystem attack vectors.
