Staff Security Engineer, Strategy & Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold operational governance frameworks that align with the strategic priorities of Health100 and PCW Security & Infrastructure.

• Define, document, and implement operational standards, reporting processes, and organizational best practices.

• Create and sustain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational playbooks, and governance documentation.

• Own the development of executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, scorecards, Management Operational Reviews (MORs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and leadership reporting frameworks.

• Define, monitor, analyze, and report on KPIs that encompass organizational health, operational effectiveness, security performance, infrastructure reliability, delivery execution, risk management, and strategic objectives.

• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, engineering, program management, business operations, data, and leadership teams on strategic initiatives.

• Facilitate executive business reviews, operational assessments, leadership discussions, planning cycles, and strategic initiatives.

• Analyze operational and business data, conducting trend analysis, forecasting, benchmarking, scenario modeling, and performance evaluations.

• Utilize Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Excel, SharePoint, and other relevant technologies to enable data-driven visibility and decision-making support.

• Oversee action-item tracking, dependencies, risk mitigation, executive follow-through, communications, and information flow.

• Maintain SharePoint sites, collaboration platforms, and knowledge management systems.

• Provide mentorship, onboarding resources, operational documentation, and training materials.

• Assess emerging security technologies, operational tools, automation opportunities, and AI-driven solutions.

• Assist in annual and quarterly planning, organizational goal setting, OKRs, strategic priorities, investment decisions, and operational roadmaps.

• Develop executive presentations, business cases, strategic narratives, and leadership communications.

• Monitor strategic commitments and deliver insights to leadership regarding performance, risks, and outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Security Engineering, Security Operations, Technical Program Management, Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Chief of Staff roles, or related fields.

• Proven experience supporting security, infrastructure, engineering, or enterprise technology organizations.

• Demonstrated proficiency in developing executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, scorecards, and business performance reporting.

• Experience in driving cross-functional programs and organizational initiatives within complex, matrixed environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business operations abilities.

• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to influence and present to executive leadership.

• Experience in facilitating operational reviews, strategic planning activities, and business governance processes.

• Ability to distill technical and business information into actionable recommendations.

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365 technologies.

• Knowledge of security metrics, operational excellence frameworks, risk management practices, and infrastructure performance measurement.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, Security+, Azure Security Engineer, Certified Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
