This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.
• Investigate the capabilities, constraints, and training methodologies of emerging AI systems.
• Develop research inquiries that guide AI products, platforms, and technical strategy.
• Examine methods for generating synthetic and agentic data, reinforcement learning, post-training, model comprehension, benchmarks, and evaluation.
• Keep abreast of advancements in machine learning and recognize potential areas for technical contributions.
• Create research-quality datasets, experiments, prototypes, tools, and evaluation frameworks.
• Train, assess, and evaluate models utilizing contemporary AI and machine learning tools.
• Analyze experimental outcomes and formulate evidence-based conclusions.
• Establish protocols for data quality, reproducibility, experimental design, and evaluation.
• Transition from research hypotheses to confirmed technical insights.
• Collaborate with Research, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to implement findings into practical applications.
• Convey technical findings to both specialized and cross-functional audiences.
• Contribute to technical reports, publications, open-source initiatives, workshops, or conferences as appropriate.
• Mentor engineers and researchers while engaging in technical discussions and peer reviews.
• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Over 7 years of professional experience, including substantial research engineering experience in machine learning or emerging AI systems.
• Solid foundations in machine learning along with practical experience in designing experiments, training models, evaluating models, or developing AI systems.
• Proven research experience in synthetic or agentic data generation, reinforcement learning or post-training, model comprehension, AI evaluation, AI benchmarks, or AI agents/tool-utilizing systems.
• Proficient Python programming skills with the capability to implement, test, and iterate efficiently in research settings.
• Familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks, tools, and research workflows.
• Strong scientific judgment regarding experimental rigor, data quality, reproducibility, and evidence-driven decision-making.
