This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop strategic initiatives for training data capabilities and prioritize the collection of data.
• Make decisions regarding data quality, review depth, confidence thresholds, and associated costs.
• Manage the complete data collection process, including procurement, preparation, capture, expert labeling, and annotation.
• Create scalable systems throughout the various stages of data collection.
• Coordinate with teams and locations to enhance throughput and facilitate capacity planning.
• Establish human review processes and feedback loops that transform corrections into training data.
• Collaborate with ML Engineering, Operations, and subject matter experts to set the strategic direction and ensure effective execution.
• Specify metrics for data quality, model enhancement, throughput, and cost efficiency.
• Report progress and trade-offs to senior leadership.
• Mentor Product Managers and contribute to product practices and documentation.
• Leverage Claude Cowork, Claude Code, Codex, and other innovative AI tools and coding agents to expedite product development and optimize workflows.
• Over 10 years of experience in product management.
• Proven experience in building a product, platform, or capability from inception.
• Familiarity with AI/ML or AI-enhanced operational workflows.
• Understanding of workflows that integrate models and human expertise.
• Strong systems thinking skills across intricate, multi-step workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable business outcomes regarding cost, efficiency, or quality.
• Capacity to influence technical teams, operators, and subject matter experts without direct authority.
• Practical experience in establishing processes, pipelines, documentation, and operational mechanisms.
• Outstanding written communication skills suitable for both technical and business audiences.
• Willingness to travel to various data collection sites approximately once a month to once a quarter.
