Staff Reporter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Compose timely articles that cover topics such as companies, funding, acquisitions, leadership changes, product launches, partnerships, research, and other significant industry developments.

• Identify, report, write, and publish stories throughout the week.

• Monitor industry sources, company announcements, regulatory changes, and emerging trends to pinpoint news that merits coverage.

• Cultivate relationships with founders, executives, investors, operators, and other industry insiders.

• Look beyond press releases to grasp what occurred, why it is significant, and what it indicates about the wider industry.

• Proactively generate story ideas, pursue leads, and seek unique coverage.

• Collaborate with editorial and creative teams to uncover insights and angles for newsletters and social media content.

• Verify information, check sources, and ensure stories are precise, clear, and published on schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 2–5 years of reporting or writing experience at a publication, newsroom, trade outlet, or relevant media organization.

• Exceptional writing, interviewing, and research skills, with a proven history of creating clear, engaging stories.

• Experience in developing sources and carrying out original reporting.

• Strong business curiosity and news judgment, with the capability to discern what is important to an industry audience.

• Ability to consistently publish on deadline while maintaining accuracy and quality.

• Familiarity with digital publishing and the requirements of a daily news cycle.

• Interest in a hands-on, individual contributor role centered on reporting and writing.

• Enthusiasm for health, wellness, fitness, healthcare, consumer brands, or technology.

• Direct experience in covering health and wellness is preferred but not mandatory.
