This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the telephony roadmap and define the product vision along with delivery priorities in collaboration with engineering.

• Identify SIP compatibility requirements, enabling enterprises to integrate their existing carriers, PBXs, and contact center platforms.

• Broaden LiveKit Phone Numbers availability beyond the US, ensuring expansive country coverage and regulatory compliance.

• Analyze enterprise customer workflows and production phone-based agents, utilizing customer and operational data to establish priorities.

• Manage telephony pricing, packaging, and profit margins as usage and geographic reach increase.

• Collaborate with engineering leaders across SIP trunking and native phone-number products.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in product management at a senior or staff level.

• Significant experience in managing products aimed at developers.

• Strong analytical skills to assess protocols, media paths, latency, call quality, and failure modes.

• Proven track record of owning a product where uptime and quality were essential responsibilities.

• Ability to effectively influence cross-functional teams through clarity, trust, and sound judgment.

• Deep customer focus with the capability to translate customer needs into a prioritized roadmap.

• Strong writing and presentation skills, ranging from board-level strategy discussions to detailed technical conversations.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute rapidly.

• Preferred: experience in developing telephony, CPaaS, SIP, or voice communication products that handle high production call volumes.

• Preferred: familiarity with SIP, RTP/SRTP, DTMF, voice codecs, and call transfer mechanisms.

• Preferred: experience with carrier interconnects, number provisioning, porting, telecom regulations, and compliance.

• Preferred: background in developer tools, infrastructure, or communications.

• Preferred: understanding of voice AI, real-time communication, or contact center platforms.

• Preferred: experience with usage-based pricing and optimization of costs or margins.
