System Product Owner – Card processing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the functional aspects of a backend service within Wirex's card and payments platform.

• Transform business requirements and third-party/payment scheme integration needs into precise specifications.

• Ensure that transaction flows and integrations with processors and schemes, including VISA and Mastercard, are accurately designed across various markets and implemented as intended.

• Collect and assess new requirements and modifications related to team service ownership.

• Draft comprehensive and clear system requirements to serve as specifications.

• Relay team insights and plans to other TPO/SPOs.

• Inform the team about forthcoming changes affecting adjacent microservices and client applications.

• Examine third-party API documentation for banks, card processing, and payment integrators across diverse markets.

• Develop integration requirements for backend developers.

• Adjust system settings as necessary.

• Investigate issues that arise.

• Create logic flows for processes.

• Ensure proper implementation of all aspects.

• Engage in discussions regarding product vision, functionality, and innovative ideas.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a System Analyst or Business Analyst with a technical background.

• Extensive experience in banking and payment cards.

• In-depth understanding of the functioning of payment cards.

• Familiarity with payment system protocols.

• Knowledge of VISA and Mastercard requirements, technologies, processes, and standards.

• Understanding of card processing protocols (ISO).

• Awareness of reporting and reconciliation procedures.

• Experience in integrating processing services with third-party systems.

• Experience in managing card processing services integration/development and transaction processing services integration/development within the financial sector is advantageous.

• Proficiency in working with API documentation and preparing integration logic.

• Upper intermediate level of English proficiency.
